Tamdhu 12 Years is a Speyside single malt from a distillery at Knockando, on the banks of the River Spey. It is made from Scottish barley and matured for 12 years.
The maturation takes place in European and American oak casks that previously held sherry, which give the whisky a gentle sweetness.
The nose offers sherry, citrus and cinnamon with light oak. The palate is soft, with nuts, butter biscuits and cinnamon alongside a hint of coffee. The finish is of medium length, with toasted oak, dark chocolate, sherry, light spice and citrus.
