Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in Oloroso seasoned sherry casks sourced from Spain. The distillery brought together a small selection of casks that had come of age for this bottling.
Its deep copper colour comes from the cask alone, and the whisky is bottled non-chill-filtered.
The nose is dry and nutty, with sherry, cherry, milk chocolate and rum raisin. On the palate the sherry is rich and mouthcoating, with vanilla, brown sugar and red apple. The finish is long and warming, with dried apricot, dates and soft spice.
