This is a single cask Tamdhu from the Speyside distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 54.3% ABV.
The whisky was distilled in 2007 and matured for 18 years in a refill bourbon barrel, cask number 8254.
The nose offers sweet malt, dried fruit, gentle oak and warming spice. On the palate it is rich and rounded, with layered sweetness, fruit and developing oak spice. The finish is long, warming and slightly drying, with spice and oak lingering.
