A 12-year-old Tamnavulin from Speyside, finished in an Oloroso sherry octave cask of around 50 litres and bottled by Claxton's at full cask strength, 54.8%. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, so it reaches the bottle just as it came from the cask. Soon after the bottle is opened, the nose offers raisins and syrup, a character that comes from the sherry finish.
