A 27-year-old Tamnavulin from the Old Malt Cask series of the independent bottler Hunter Laing, bottled at 46.8% ABV. The whisky dates from 1991. Tamnavulin stands in Speyside, near the small village of Tamnavoulin. The distillery opened in 1966, closed in 1995 and reopened in 2007 after a major renovation. This bottling is described as typical Speyside whisky: soft and elegant, with plenty of fruit and a fitting sweetness from the casks.
