Taurasi DOCG Riserva 5 Querce - Molettieri

A red wine from Molettieri, Taurasi DOCG Riserva 5 Querce. It shows a deep ruby colour with an intense, bright cut. The nose offers mature red and black fruits, sweet spice, leather, undergrowth and mineral hints. On the palate it is full-bodied, with present but polished tannins and a measured balance between acidity and structure; the mid-palate is rich, with a savoury note supporting the sip. The finish is long and persistent, with fruity returns. It suits structured meat dishes such as roasts, braises and stews, as well as aged cheeses. A few hours of aeration before serving is recommended.
