Blackpitts is a peated single malt from Teeling, an Irish whisky made from malted barley dried over peat fires and triple distilled. It is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Sauternes French wine casks, in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from the area just behind Teeling's new distillery, which is steeped in manufacturing tradition and was once home to an abundance of malting houses.
