Teeling – Renaissance First Edition Madeira Cask (46%)

This is the first release in Teeling's Renaissance series, an 18-year-old Irish single malt bottled at 46% without chill-filtering. It was aged in ex-bourbon casks and then finished for 18 months in ex-Madeira casks. The release comprises 9,000 bottles worldwide. The whiskey is amber in colour. The nose is rich with wild berry jam, cinnamon, toffee and burnt figs. The palate is silky, with toffee, apple, rosewater and maraschino cherry, and the finish carries spicy hints of clove and cinnamon.
