This is a single cask Irish whiskey from Teeling, selected for the California market. It was matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in ex-Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc casks.
It is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle, without chill filtration. Teeling is the first new distillery in Dublin's Liberties district in over 125 years.
The nose is bright citrus, green apple, grapefruit and honeysuckle. The palate is zesty and peppery, opening into honeydew melon, vanilla and a touch of pear. The finish is crisp and drying, with fruit that lingers.
