Teeling – Single Malt Irish Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Teeling Single Malt is an Irish single malt made from 100% malted barley and triple distilled in Dublin. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle and won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019. Its character comes from a finish in five wine cask types: Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each adds a different layer, from dried fruit and berries to a nutty note, crisp stone fruit and dark berry. The nose is intensely fruity, with tropical fruits, ripe apples, melons, oranges, milk chocolate and spice. The palate shows bittersweet chocolate, quince, orange marmalade, cloves and ginger, and the finish is long, with charred oak and vanilla spice.
