Teeling Single Malt is an Irish whiskey made entirely from malted barley and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. It comes from Teeling in Dublin.
Five wine-cask-finished whiskeys went into this release, finished in Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon casks. It was named World's Best Irish Single Malt at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards.
The nose shows intense white grape juiciness with fresh malt and Rolos, turning to white chocolate in the glass. On the palate are well-placed fruit, cinnamon, white pepper and dried flower petals, and the finish is strawberries with fresh double cream.
