This is an Irish single malt from Teeling Whiskey Company, made from 100% malted barley and bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was selected exclusively for California and is non-chill filtered.
The whiskey is first matured in traditional oak, then finished in ex-tequila casks, which add herbal, citrusy and slightly earthy notes to Teeling's fruit-forward house style.
The nose brings lime zest, green agave and white pepper over orchard fruit and subtle vanilla. The palate is creamy and zesty, with honey, tropical fruit, roasted pineapple and a whisper of vegetal spice. The finish is crisp and dry, with lingering citrus and soft oak.
