Teerenpeli – Kaski 100% Sherry Cask (50cl, 43%)

Teerenpeli Kaski is a Finnish single malt matured entirely in sherry casks. It is made from Finnish malted barley and local groundwater, and bottled at 43% ABV in a 50cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The name refers to the traditional slash-and-burn clearing of land before planting, the first step of cultivation and a symbol of a fresh start. Teerenpeli began distilling in Lahti in 2002. Fruity notes and a light touch of peat mark the nose. The palate is soft, grainy and full, and the spicy finish brings out raisins and fruitcake.
