Teerenpeli – Kaski Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 43%)

Kaski is a Finnish single malt from Teerenpeli, bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle. The name refers to kaski, the slash-and-burn clearing of land that was the first step of cultivation in traditional farming, and so a new beginning. It has matured only in selected sherry casks, which give it a colour of roasted brown sugar. The nose is fruity with a light peat note. The palate is smooth, rich and grain-like, and the finish carries the distillery's typical spice together with raisin-like fruit cake.
