Teerenpeli Kulo is a Finnish single malt matured for seven years entirely in sherry casks, selected former Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. It is bottled at 50.7% in a 50cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colour.
The distillery uses Finnish malted barley and groundwater from the Salpausselkä region. Dried fruit and date sweetness meet sweet, tarry notes, and the peat stays in the background.
On the nose there are figs and a light touch of peat. The palate brings raisin sweetness, plums, dates and a tarry accent, with a soft, full mouthfeel. The long finish is fruity, with a little liquorice.
