Teitessa 25 Year Old Red Edition Single Grain Japanese Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Teitessa 25 Year Old Red Edition is a Japanese single grain whisky made at the Fuji Takasago Distillery, in the town of Fuji in the southern foothills of Mount Fuji. The distillery dates from 1831 and began as a sake brewery. The grain here is rice. The whisky spends 25 years in American white oak and is bottled at 40% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is a golden colour. The nose is floral, with caramel, tree fruit and vanilla. The palate is velvety, with melon, toasted almonds, tangy apple, oak and a touch of sherry, and the finish is clean and bright.
