Templeton 6 Year Old Rye Whiskey (75cl, 45.8%)

Templeton 6 Year Old is a rye whiskey made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, aged for six years in new charred American oak. It is bottled at 45.75% ABV (91.5 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey was distilled in Indiana and bottled in Templeton, Iowa. It uses barrels of the core Templeton rye set aside in 2010 and given two extra years. It debuted in 2016 as the brand's first new product in over a decade. The producer's notes describe floral aromas with dry spice, butterscotch, vanilla, cherry and green apple. The palate is mellow and smooth, with fruit and toasted oak, and the finish is long, with lingering spice.
