Templeton Fortitude Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Templeton Fortitude is a high-rye bourbon bottled at 46% ABV. It is the first bourbon distilled at Templeton's own distillery in Templeton, Iowa, which opened in 2018; before that the brand bottled sourced whiskey. The mash bill is 55% corn, 40% rye and 5% malted barley, with the corn grown within 15 miles of the distillery. It is aged in new American oak, charred to level 4, and is non-chill filtered with natural colour. The brand puts its age at four years or more. The nose is cinnamon, clove and baking spice over caramel and vanilla. The palate is bold and spicy with a creamy corn sweetness, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering rye spice and toasted oak.
