This is a 15 year old straight rye whiskey from Templeton's Hidden Stash Collection, matured in American oak and bottled at 55.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled in Indiana and bottled by Templeton Rye Spirits in Iowa.
It is Limited Release No. 02, with 3,000 bottles in the run.
The tasting notes describe a nose of toasted oak, vanilla, caramel and clove, and a bold palate of rye spice, dark caramel and dried orchard fruit with a touch of leather. The finish is long and warming, led by oak and lingering spice.
