Templeton Midnight Rye (70cl)

Templeton Midnight Rye is an American rye whiskey given a final maturation in casks that previously held Californian dessert wine. That finishing adds a darker, fruit-led layer to the rye. On the nose there are ripe red fruits, dark chocolate and vanilla, with the typical spiciness of rye running underneath. The palate is silky and enveloping, with a well-integrated sweetness. It moves into a long finish of raisins, dried figs and sweet spices.
