Templeton Rye 4 Year Old Rye Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

This is a rye whiskey from Templeton Rye, made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and matured for a minimum of four years in new, flame-charred American oak barrels. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The whiskey is distilled in Indiana and bottled in Templeton, Iowa. The brand was revived in 2006 and takes its inspiration from the Prohibition-era Templeton rye known as "The Good Stuff". The producer describes a dry, grassy nose with natural spice. The palate has a hint of caramel, butterscotch and toffee with allspice, and the finish is balanced, clean and silky.
