Templeton Rye Barrel Strength 2020 (56.5%)

This is the third annual release of Templeton Rye's limited-edition barrel strength rye whiskey. The rye was sourced from the MGP distillery in Indiana and bottled in May 2020 at 56.55% ABV (113.1 proof). The brand's story begins in Templeton, Iowa, during Prohibition, when local residents illegally made a rye whiskey that grew so popular it was said to be a favourite of Al Capone. After Prohibition ended in 1933 the brand faded from view, until Keith Kerkhoff, grandson of one of the original bootleggers, revived it in 2006.
