Templeton Rye Hidden Stash Collection 13 Year is a straight rye whiskey from Iowa, made as a nod to the town's Prohibition-era roots. It spent 13 years in heavily charred new American oak and is bottled at 54% ABV (108 proof), without chill filtration.
The notes point to dark chocolate, molasses, toasted oak and cracked black pepper on the nose. On the palate come caramel, vanilla, dark fruit and sweet tobacco, and the finish is long and warming, with spice, leather and cocoa.
