Ten High is a Kentucky blended sour mash bourbon, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is produced by Barton Brands in Bardstown, Kentucky.
The current expression is a blend of straight bourbon and neutral spirit, matured in white oak barrels using the sour mash process. The name refers to barrels stored at least ten ricks high in the warehouse. Until 2009 it carried a straight bourbon designation.
The nose offers brown sugar, grain and a little lemon. On the palate vanilla and caramel lead, with banana and a faint bubblegum sweetness. The finish is short and clean.
