Tenjaku Japanese Blended Whisky (75cl)

Tenjaku is a Japanese blended whisky in a 75cl bottle, made in the city of Fuefuki in Yamanashi. Its water comes from springs in the Misaka mountains, drawn from 250 metres below the surface and filtered through porous volcanic rock. It was created by Master Blender Kenji Watanabe, who draws on his years of winemaking as well as whisky. The name is the Japanese characters for the skylark, or Hibari. The nose has a faint smoky accent with sweet pear and dried fruit. The palate is mellow and well-rounded after a slightly edgy attack, and the long finish is lightly spicy, with white oak and spreading sweetness.
