Tenjaku Pure Malt Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Tenjaku Pure Malt Sherry Cask is a limited edition Japanese blended malt, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from malt whiskies aged 3, 5, 8 and 12 years and matured in sherry casks. It is produced by Minami Alps Wine and Beverage in Fuefuki, Yamanashi, with Kenji Watanabe as Master Blender. The water is spring water drawn from 250 metres below the Misaka range and filtered through volcanic rock. The name Tenjaku comes from the Japanese characters for the skylark. The nose is described as ripe fruit with delicate malt. The palate is velvety, with rich malt and the sweetness of sherry, and the finish is long, with fruit and soft cask notes.
