Tennessee Legend Canebrake Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 42.5%)

Tennessee Legend Canebrake is a small-batch Tennessee bourbon at 42.5% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is the distillery's first bourbon, made from pure corn mash in new charred oak. The name honours the timber rattlesnake, or canebrake rattler, native to the Appalachian mountains, and is not a flavour. It has about six months of age, with the maturation sped up by smaller barrels and toasted oak chips. The distillery is in the Smoky Mountains, and Justin Holeman is the master distiller. The notes describe soft caramel with a faint sweet corn taste, and oak and vanilla lingering beneath. Oak comes to the front of the palate, and the finish is very smooth.
