A red wine from Tenuta La Palazza, made from Sangiovese grown in Emilia-Romagna. The grapes are hand harvested, usually towards the end of September, and the wine matures in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months before further bottle ageing. It shows an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. On the nose there are ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with spice, leather and a light touch of vanilla. On the palate it is robust yet balanced, with well-structured tannins, notable aromatic persistence and integrated acidity. It suits red meat, game and aged cheeses.
