Tenuta Rubino Primitivo Salento IGT Punta Aquila is a red wine made from Primitivo grapes grown in Salento. The grapes undergo controlled maceration and fermentation, followed by ageing in steel and a short period in barrique. It has a deep ruby red colour. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as plum and cherry, with sweet spice and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, with soft, elegant tannins and a persistent, pleasantly spicy finish. It suits robust dishes such as grilled red meats, roasts or aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed on its own.
