Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC

Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia is a Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC red from Tuscany, made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. The estate is in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast. Ageing in French oak barriques for about 24 months builds an aromatic profile of ripe red fruit, spice, aromatic herbs and woody notes. Deep ruby red, tending to garnet with age, it shows blackberry, cassis, tobacco, chocolate and a light balsamic touch. Rich and layered, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity, it has long persistence. It pairs with red meat, game and aged cheese.
