A Tuscan red wine from Tenuta Setteponti, made mainly from Sangiovese grown in the region's fertile valleys.
The nose shows ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, with sweet spice and a light touch of vanilla from barrique ageing, plus mineral and earthy notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and well structured, with mature but elegant tannins and a balanced acidity and alcohol.
It suits red meats and aged cheeses.
