Terence Hill Whisky Rauchig (70cl, 49%)

Terence Hill Whisky Rauchig is a smoky whisky from the St. Kilian Destillerie in Rüdenau, Lower Franconia, bottled at 49% vol. in a 70cl bottle. The Terence Hill brand is a tribute to the film star of the same name. It is made from new-make spirit and whisky from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Ireland, matured in American ex-bourbon casks, together with spirit matured in ex-rum casks. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. The nose offers wood smoke, sweet molasses, bourbon vanilla and cream toffee, with peach, mango and a hint of marzipan. The palate is strong, with peat smoke, molasses, vanilla, caramel, ripe peach, oak and white pepper. The finish carries toffee, vanilla, oak and a little cocoa, with smoke lingering.
