That Boutique-y Whisky Company Glen Grant 31 Year Old Batch 2 (50cl, 44.4%)

This is a 31 year old Glen Grant bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company as Batch 2, in a 500ml bottle at 44.4% ABV. The whisky was laid down in October 1991 and matured in a single refill hogshead. Glen Grant is known for a light, apple-fresh character. Its stills have almost square boil bulbs, which increase the copper surface, and purifying chambers in the lyne arm that send heavier elements back into the still. The nose offers subtle citrus and candied orange peel, dried apricots and figs, tinned peaches in syrup, and vanilla later on with well-integrated oak. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch, tinned pineapple and mango, gentle spice and clear oak.
