The Ardmore – Legacy (75cl, 40%)

Ardmore Legacy is a lightly peated Highland single malt from The Ardmore distillery in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The whisky is a marriage of peated and unpeated spirit, made from 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt, which comes to about 12 parts per million of peat. It was introduced in 2014 as the distillery's core expression, following Ardmore Traditional. The nose offers light woodsmoke and toasted malt. The palate brings honey, vanilla, orchard fruit and gentle peat, and the finish is clean and malty with a trace of smoke.
