The Arran Malt Barrel Reserve is a single malt matured only in American oak casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV, without chill filtration and with no colouring added.
The casks bring vanilla, fresh pear and sweet honey, while the citrus character of the distillery's island setting still comes through.
On the palate it is delicate, with citrus fruit, sweet vanilla, apples and coastal notes. The finish is lingering, with sweetness from the casks, spice and milk chocolate.
