The Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill is a 12 year old single malt matured in a first fill ex-bourbon cask. Each bottle comes from a single cask, is hand-numbered and carries the number of that cask.
The malt master samples the whisky cask by cask and chooses only those marked by sweetness and subtle vanilla oak.
The nose has honey, sweet fruits and subtle spices. The palate is rich and complex, with deep vanilla oakiness, and the finish is lingeringly sweet.
