This is a 14 year old single malt from The Balvenie Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside. It was matured in traditional oak whisky casks and then finished in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The rum cask finish adds toffee, vanilla and a little tropical fruit to the whisky.
On the nose it is creamy toffee with ripe fruit, brown sugar and light oak spice. The palate is rounded and sweet, with vanilla, honey, tropical fruit and rum influence. The finish is long and warm, with lingering vanilla and gentle spice.
