The Balvenie 15 Year Old Madeira Cask is a Speyside single malt at 43% abv, in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in sweet Madeira wine casks, an idea that came to master distiller David Stewart, who liked to travel around Madeira and explore its local wines.
Gold in colour, it is described as having blackcurrant, blackberry and ginger on the nose, with sweetness and mild spice. The palate offers peaches, orange, hazelnuts and oak, and the finish is long and fruity.
