This is a 19 year old single malt Scotch whisky from The Balvenie, in a 70cl bottle, part of the Stories series.
The name refers to the Edge of Burnhead Wood, where the distillery's heather trials began. Dave Stewart found the fresh heather used in those trials, and former distillery manager Ian Millar led them, with the maltings team working on the experiment.
