This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from The Balvenie, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. After its first maturation in bourbon casks, it is moved into large casks for a further three to four months of finishing, where the whisky marries. The casks and process give a complex, fruity character.
The nose is sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry with honey and vanilla. The palate is nutty and sweet with cinnamon and sherry, followed by a long, warming finish.
