The Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is matured first in traditional American oak casks, then finished in European sherry casks, which gives the Doublewood name.
The nose shows dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of honey, with oak well in balance. The palate is soft and velvety, with malt and ripe fruit moving towards milk chocolate and caramel, and a touch of oak. The finish is long.
