The Balvenie Stories 14 Year Old Week of Peat (70cl, 48.3%)

The Balvenie Stories 14 Year Old Week of Peat is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48.3% vol. It belongs to Balvenie's Stories range. The idea comes from Ian Miller, the distillery manager, who went on a trip and then experimented with what he had learned. The result is a malt built around honey, citrus and a pleasant smoke. The nose is light peat smoke, citrus, vanilla and honey. On the palate it is well balanced, with very gentle peat wrapped around citrus, light wood and sweet honey. The finish is medium in length, lightly smoky, with plenty of vanilla.
