This is a 12 year old single malt from The Balvenie, part of the Stories range, in a 70cl bottle. It began with the apprentice malt master Kelsey McKechnie's idea of making a fruity, sweet Balvenie.
Whisky aged for several years in ex-bourbon casks was finished in Kentucky virgin oak casks, which the distillery toasts twice itself.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla, citrus, ginger, cinnamon and oak. The palate is rich and deep, with lingering malt, vanilla, honey and caramel. The finish is long, with a fruity sweetness.
