The Balvenie Thirty is a 30 year old Speyside single malt bottled at 47.3% ABV. It was created by the late David C. Stewart MBE and is a marriage of American oak and European oak casks. It comes in a wooden presentation box.
The nose brings acacia honey, dried orchard fruits, toasted almonds and vanilla pod, with leather, nutmeg, cinnamon and polished oak emerging over time. The palate is silky, with honeycomb, dark toffee, orange peel, dried fig and soft spice. The finish is long and warming, with honey, spice, gentle tannins and dried fruit.
