This is Tun 1509 Batch 2 from The Balvenie, a Speyside single malt bottled by the distillery at 50.3% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 8,500 bottles.
The whisky was married in the distillery's Tun 1509 from 9 European oak sherry casks and 23 American oak hogsheads.
The nose shows dried fruits, oak, mellow cinnamon and ginger. On the palate are layers of vanilla oak, rich woody spices, dark fruits and a clear sherry character, with honey running through.
