This is a floral cocktail bitters from The Bitter Truth in Germany, in a 10cl bottle at 42% abv. It is the Blossom edition of the Drops & Dashes series, made to mark the brand's tenth anniversary. The series was released as a four-part collection, each edition built around a flavour theme: Blossom, Wood, Nut and Roots. Blossom draws on the floral botanicals used in early bitters-making and is made by small-batch maceration, so the flowers come through without heavy sweetness. The nose is soft and floral, with jasmine, elderflower, delicate citrus and light spice. On the palate it is gentle and aromatic, with blossom honey, white flowers, subtle herbs and a balanced bitterness. It suits gin cocktails, French 75 variations and sparkling serves.
