A 40 year old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky from The Caledonian Distillery, known as 'The Cally'. It was distilled in 1974 and bottled at a cask strength of 53.3%, in a 70cl bottle.
This is a 2015 release, part of Diageo's Special Releases for that year.
The nose is toffee popcorn, grilled pineapple and honeycomb. On the palate it is toasty and oaky without being heavy.
