The Cally is a 40 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the Caledonian distillery in Edinburgh, which closed in 1988. It made its debut as part of Diageo's Special Releases in 2015, and is among the oldest expressions offered from the distillery.
The spirit was distilled in 1974, likely from mostly corn, and matured in refill American oak hogsheads. It is bottled at natural strength, 53.3% vol, in a 70cl bottle.
