The Chess Malt Pulteney 19 Years Old, Pawn A7, is a single malt from Old Pulteney in Wick, distilled in 2004 and matured for 19 years. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.6%, with no added colour and no chill-filtration. Pawn A7 belongs to The Chess Malt series, in which each bottling is inspired by the world of strategy. The nose offers salted caramel, dried fruit, vanilla and citrus, with sea air and waxy notes. On the palate come ripe pear, honey, light toffee, spicy oak and a hint of salt; water brings out floral notes, pepper and nuts. The finish is long, with light smoke, sea salt and sweet oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
