The Compromise 50/50 Bourbon & Rye Blended Whiskey (75cl, 61.3%)

The Compromise is a blend of bourbon and rye whiskey, made as a collaboration between Nashville Barrel Co. and Nashtucky Whiskey Co. It is a limited, small-batch release bottled at barrel strength, 61.3% ABV (122.6 proof), in a 75cl bottle. Half of the blend is a nine-year-old MGP bourbon from Indiana, and half is a seven-year-old Kentucky rye. It is bottled unfiltered. The nose offers toasted oak, brown sugar, rye spice and dark cherry. The palate is oily, with toffee, vanilla, peppercorn and cinnamon heat, and the finish is long and warm, with lingering leather and spice.
